Brent's Cars

Note: I am rebuilding and updating this website. If all continues well, it is slated to go live with a new design and new way of searching the first week of March (2010).
I have been a collector of diecast cars, trucks and others for many years. I probably started as a collector before I knew that was what I was doing or about to be doing. As with most boys the first ones I had were played with. Sometimes played with too roughly! After those years passed I still kept the ones that survived. I think regrettably about the ones that I could still have but only remember that they are gone forever (ie, "Look how cool that car looks after a rock smashed into it!). I also remember trading with friends some good models. Now that I am an adult I still have an interest in keeping the ones I had and finding new ones. This website is dedicated to the past time of collecting these diecast "toys for boys" (and men). I will be experimenting with new ways to display things on the pages as time goes on. Photography notes: In most cases I photographed the collection using 180 resolution, close-up setting with no flash under incandescent single light. The photos were then reduced to 100 dpi, resized to 4x6 inch and cropped. Some photos are outside or at a window with natural light. Unless otherwise indicated most of the collection is 1:64 scale. I add the 1:64 scale indication when it is listed on the bottom of the vehicle or on the package.

    =======================
    Hot Wheels Note: The dates on the bottom of Hot Wheels are not production dates. They are the date that vehicle was first issued. Hot Wheels re-uses it's body styles from year to year so it is possible to have one with a 1960's - 70's date that was really released in the 1990's or even after 2000.

    I hope this website measures up!
